Chopper explained why Team Spirit don’t play on Inferno04:42, 18.05.2026
Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, former captain of Team Spirit , explained that the CS2 squad dislikes playing Inferno because the map gives very little room for individual skill and doesn’t really allow players to fully shine.
He talked about it during a stream on Twitch .
“It’s insanely narrow and short. Feels like it’s a map where you gotta use grenades properly and play super disciplined. You can’t really create chaos there, let some maniac loose in the server, start running around and taking over. Like letting donk run and shoot everybody. You get two grenades on Banana and your entire push is over.”

You get two grenades on Banana and your entire push is over.”
According to him, the map especially doesn’t fit donk’s playstyle, since he loves creating chaos and taking constant aim duels. Chopper pointed out that Inferno has too many tight spots and a single push can instantly end because of just a couple grenades, which is why the team tries to avoid the map.
Judging by his words, the CS2 roster also isn’t really built around super disciplined structure-heavy gameplay, relying much more on the individual skill of the players instead.
